How to use Events
It's the same help you get inside the app. In case you want to read it before downloading, or out in the field with barely any signal.
1Watch the simulation
The drawing shows how the eclipse will look from where you are, not from where it's total. That's the difference between traveling and staying put.
2Follow the timeline
Every phase with its local time: first contact, maximum and last contact. Those are the times you set the alarm for.
3Check the Moon for meteor showers
A great shower under a full Moon is a washout. The screen tells you how much it will get in the way before you plan the trip.
4Ask it to remind you
At the very top, «Want a heads-up the evening before?» turns notifications on: at 7 PM the day before each eclipse, shower or full Moon, one arrives. From the bell in the header you choose which ones you want, and see the last and the next.
